Splashbacks guide

If you are trying to choose a splashback for the first time then it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the options.  Here are five great splashback ideas to help you decide what’s best for you.

1. Bright Colours

Bright colours are a great way of making a real statement in your kitchen – red splashbacks, green splashbacks, blue splashbacks and even pink can all look fantastic.   Of course you have to be sure that having a bright colour wont get too much a year or so down the line!

2. Plain Splashbacks

If you are not sure that bright colours are right for you then choose a plain colour such as white or black.  Black is the most popular choice – it goes great with white kitchen units and reflects the light.   If you like the clean, clinical look then a white splashback would be perfect.  Either black or white is the “safety option” if you can’t decide on something more unusual.

3. Designer Splashbacks

If you love a brand name then try a designer splashback from a specialist such as Enki or one of the big names in kitchens, for example Smeg.  Of course you wont see the brand so you might be best of going for a standard glass splashback which are all very high quality anyway.

4. Unusual Splashbacks

There are plenty of wierd and wonderful options for your splashback if you are willing to consider more off the wall ideas for your kitchen.   For example you could have a patterned splashback, picture splashback or mosaic design.  Or you could try a slightly different colour such as Aubergine.

5.  Different materials

You dont necessarily have to have a splashback made of glass.  There are range of other options for different materials including stainless steel, plastic or even wood or mirrors.
